Audio-Visual Specialist (Multimedia Specialist)
Western Regional School of Nursing, Corner Brook, NL
Definition of Work:
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing ongoing professional support and leadership in the coordination, consultation, design, installation, evaluation, procurement, preventative maintenance, and technical support for a wide array of multimedia series and equipment. Duties include but are not limited to developing a multimedia strategic plan for the School of Nursing, ensuring timely development and delivery of audio visual support for the School of Nursing, ensuring timely development of multimedia instructional materials for technologies such as PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Desire 2 Learn among others; providing technical support for the advanced systems required by high tech classrooms and simulation labs; providing audio visual support to all aspects of conference services activities; assisting administration, faculty, staff, students in the production of multimedia products; hiring, supervising and directing student workers; coordination activities and providing support for video conferencing; working with Grenfell Campus, Memorial University and Western Health personnel to ensure the School's multimedia development is compatible with their computerized systems; planning for and evaluation of the School's website in consultation with faculty, staff and students; and performing other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
The ability to demonstrate proficiency in multimedia, audio, video, digital, computer technology, computer hardware and software, lighting, sound reinforcement, teleconferencing, videoconferencing, video recording, editing, and data projection is also required. Completion of a minimum two year program from an accredited University or Technical College with specific instruction in Personal Computer support and programming, database concepts, systems analysis and network administration and troubleshooting is also required. Applicants must also be willing to complete training in Meditech Report Writing, the Organizational Development Database, and to maintain proficiency in the latest audio, video, digital and computer hardware and software. Completion of formal training in photography is required. Applicants should be highly motivated individuals who are able to work independently and should possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance are required.
Hours of Work: 0800-1600, 0830-1630, 1000-1800 Hours
Salary: $23.89 to $26.47 per Hour
