Clinical Occupational Therapist II
Restorative Care Unit, Western Long Term Care Home

Definition of Work: This Occupational Therapist position is a highly independent, professional and clinical position with the primary purpose of facilitating optimal occupational performance of clients with a wide variety of physical, cognitive, psychosocial, development or environmentally induced impairments. The incumbent will assume a direct clinical role with patients and their families as they prepare for discharge. In consultation with the Restorative Care Team, clinical work also involves accepting referrals, screening for admissions, client assessments, development of client centred goals and intervention plans and all required documentation. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team in the achievement of this work. Clinical and non-clinical duties are completed with the support and direction of the Patient Services Manager most responsible for the Restorative Care Unit.

Required Qualifications: Eligibility for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and membership with the Newfoundland and Labrador Occupational Therapy Board is required.

*A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.

Travel throughout the region may be required.

Hours of Work: 0800-1600 Hours
Salary: $75,601.50 to $89,095.50 per Annum
