Western Health, situated on the scenic west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, is seeking the services of two salaried Hospitalist. The Hospitalist position is accountable for the effective and efficient provision of medical care to patients at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook. Services provided include in-patient Hospitalist coverage and some out-patient follow-up of orphan patients outside the hospital setting.
Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a 171-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 78,000 people. We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Faculty of Medicine and we encourage and support academic interests.

Qualifications Required: Eligible for licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL) and satisfy the credentialing requirements of Western Health's Discipline of Family Practice.

Schedule: The current Hospital model at WMRH has full-time Hospitalists working in rotation blocks of 6 days with opportunity for flexibility for days off between blocks or with working consecutive blocks.

Remuneration: The Hospitalist Salary Scale ranges from $217,525-$235,535 as outlined in the current Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The Department of Health and Community Services in accordance with Provincial Guidelines will officially determine a Physician's step assignment with yearly progression thereafter.

An annual Retention bonus is offered in accordance with the current MOA. Additional benefits are available.
