Locum Positions Available

Western Health is currently seeking the services of Locum Radiologists for relief purposes for ongoing, periodic locums. Duties include Plain Film Radiology, UGI Series/Barium Enemas, CT Scans, MRI, Ultrasound and participation in call coverage rotas of 1 in 8. Optional duties include Mammography, Bone Mineral Densitometry, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.

WMRH is a 171-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 78,000 people. We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Medical School and we encourage and support academic interests.

Qualifications: Interested applicants must have a Doctor of Medicine degree, be an FRCPC (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada), be certified or eligible for licensure with the CPSNL (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador), and satisfy the credentialing requirements of Western Health's Discipline of Medical Imaging. Experience is an asset.

Remuneration: Fee for Service basis as per the Medical Care Plan (MCP) fee schedule. Costs related to licensing and registration fees, travel, accommodations and meals are covered by the health authority.

Hours of Work: Flexible: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with call obligations as deemed necessary to the locum.
