Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services, Western Zone, situated on the scenic west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, is seeking the services of a Fee-for-Service Gastroenterologist Specialist to practice at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Western Memorial Regional Hospital, 1 Brookfield Ave, Corner Brook, Newfoundland, is a 171-bed regional referral center for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 78,000 people. We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Faculty of Medicine and we encourage and support academic interests. Western Memorial Regional Hospital has a fully developed Stroke Unit, full Rehabilitation Services, Electrodiagnostic and is serviced by 3 CT scanners and 1 MRI scanner.

Qualifications Required: Medical degree, eligible for licensure as a Gastroenterologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL) and the ability to meet the credentialing requirements of NL Health Services' Discipline of Medicine. We are seeking candidates with the appropriate sub-specialty training. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, laboratory staff and medical professionals are essential. Two years of related experience would be an asset.

Hours of Work: 80 hours biweekly plus on-call obligations.

Remuneration: Fee for Service basis as per the Medical Care Plan (MCP) fee schedule. An annual Retention Bonus is offered in accordance with the current Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
