Regional Staff Scheduling Supervisor, Western Health (Classification Under Review)
Corner Brook, NL
Reporting directly to the Regional Scheduling Manager, the Staff Scheduling Supervisor is a member of the Human Resources leadership team and is responsible for the day to day operation and supervision of the regional Staff Scheduling Department. The Staff Scheduling Supervisor works as part of the scheduling team in a time sensitive and deadline-driven environment to call-in, schedule and allocate staff in accordance with the various collective agreements and established policies and procedures of the organization.
The Staff Scheduling Supervisor exercises sound judgement and initiative throughout their work. This role requires critical thinking, the ability to create positive working relationships with a diverse group of staff, managers, union representatives and other HR Managers. The Staff Scheduling Supervisor is responsible to effectively lead their team through change and continuous improvement processes. The Staff Scheduling Supervisor must excel under pressure and have exceptional attention to detail. The incumbent will be required to work cooperatively with employees, managers, union representatives and other members of the Human Resources team.

Required Qualifications: Completion of High School, a two year Business/Office Administration Course and a minimum of five (5) years Scheduling experience is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, organization skills, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Recent experience with a computerized scheduling system would be an asset preferably in a health care setting. A working knowledge of computer software including word processing, spreadsheeting and database applications is required. The successful applicant will be required to provide regular maintenance to the Timekeeper Scheduling System. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to work and communicate effectively with people in all departments of this organization.
**A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
PLEASE NOTE: The candidate may be required to travel throughout the region on a regular basis. The use of a private vehicle is a condition of employment.
Hours of Work: 70 Hours per pay period
0700-1500, 0800-1600, and 1300-2100 hours;
Salary Scale: $59,030.00 to $76,739.00 per Annum (Classification Under Review)
