A new Acute Care Facility is currently being built in the Corner Brook area and Western Zone is currently recruiting additional staff to support its operations across a variety of disciplines and departments. We are currently recruiting for Pharmacy Technicians. Although we anticipate many positions will require start dates prior to the opening of the new facility, start dates will be determined based on department planning as well as construction progress of the building.
Duties of work: The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the technical tasks of the Pharmacy operations. These duties include dispensing pharmaceuticals, re-stocking nursing units, filling prescriptions, delivering narcotics, participating in sterile and non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous compounding, ordering from pharmaceutical companies, record keeping and performing other related duties as required.

Required qualifications: Graduation from a recognized (accredited) Pharmacy Technician Program or equivalent is required. Current licensure and in good standing with the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board is required.

Hours of Work: 75 hours per pay period
0700-1500, 0800-1600, 0900-1700, 1000-2000 and 1300-2100 hours;
Salary: $26.54 to $29.48 per Hour
